Handmade Monday

Well thankfully have made it this week!  I had planned to have this post written and ready to just publish - however have been really busy today and this is really the first chance I've had this evening to settle down and write something.

Have made 3 crocheted necklaces this week and finished the bag.  The bag I am really pleased with - first one and also first time I've lined a bag too.  It is a really 'shocking pink' colour and made using a bobble stitch. I lined it in a black polyester fabric - mainly because it was all I had and I really wanted to finish it today as next time I would get into town would be next Saturday.  I like the black though and think it looks nice with the pink.  I plan to make a pin on flower as an embellishment for it.

The necklaces are made from cotton yarn - would be really nice for spring/summer with a nice dress or to dress up a suntop.  Speaking of summer - we had sun today!  Still a bit nippy when the sun popped behind a cloud but so nice to have a good day and some sunshine.

Finally worked out too how to make one picture of four individual pictures! (Thanks to my brother for the suggestion!)

Hope all you mums had a lovely Mother's Day!

Don't forget to pop over to 1st Unique Gifts to see what Wendy and the others have been up to this week.

Mich :)

  2. The necklaces are lovely and made me think that maybe I could do something similar with the needle felted flowers that I make - try and put them on some cord although how to fix them......?
The colour of the bag is so vibrant, really cheerful.

    1. could you sew them on Mrs Pink? Or attach the cord to a little ring and sew the flower on to the ring?

  4. Yes, we had sun today too. Makes a change, we've had mist down in Devon all this last week. Love the bag colour and the bobbles! Thank you for your comment on my blog although I'm not sure you saw tonight's post 'Experimenting with Extreme Crochet' as I did a flower on that one, or were you suggesting another type of flower? Also, I see you have found a way to reply to individual comments. How do you do that? I can't seem to do it! And I like the 4 photos together! How did you do that too?!!!! Questions, questions, hope you don't mind but I've been wondering about these couple of things for a while now. Lol. You may just be the answer to my prayers!
