Spring Bracelet

Spring definitely feels like it is here!  These last few days the weather has been lovely.  Hoping it will last to the Easter weekend.

Following on from my necklace I have made a bracelet to match mixing crochet and metal.

I am enjoying working with cotton yarn and pleased with how this turned out.  It is really comfortable to wear and am working on a few different designs based on this basic idea.

House wise have started painting my kitchen ceiling (finally!).  It is a bit of a task as the ceiling is high and involves me standing on the top rung of the step ladder which is a bit scary and also involves an awful lot of 'up ladder paint a bit', 'down, move ladder', 'up ladder paint as bit' etc you get the idea! So its not exactly a quick job, however I have finally started.  It will unfortunately probably be 3 coats of paint.

Mich :)

  1. Your bracelets are very pretty. Despite making both jewellery and enjoying crochet I have never made anything like this. Perhaps one day I shall have to have a go!

  2. I do my ceilings using a roller on a broom handle, that way it's only cutting in the edges that need to be done on a ladder. I always make a mess because I like to do it quickly, hubby manages to do it without splashing paint everywhere, probably because he takes his time :o)
Your bracelets are really pretty, lots of scope with colours to go with different outfits.
Thanks for popping over to my blog, yes the bike is shiny, it's my OH's pride and joy and he loves to keep it polished.
    Happy painting and be careful

    1. Hi Jan - I live in an older style house with really high ceilings and have to stand on the very top of the stepladder which is a bit scary to say the least! Coat one is done though! Mich x

  3. I like that bit of silvery glint in the green section.

We live in an old house with high ceilings (actually we rent the lower-floor apartment). The space is wonderful but I can see that painting that high would be nerve-wracking.
