The Deacon

Last night I went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to watch The Deacon.  I really enjoyed it.  It was the story of the story of Deacon Brodie being told by a group of regulars at a tavern.  The music was really enjoyable and the singing by the cast was good too.  All in all it was a good night.  (A special mention for the violinist who I have to say was superb! But I am a bit biased on this!)

Edinburgh was absolutely packed with people and we did manage to look round a few places before heading to the show.  Would have been good to have had longer.  It has been such a long time since I have been through to Edinburgh despite the fact that it's probably about 45miles away.  Funny how we sometimes forget about places on our doorstep.

The only downside was the journey home seemed to take forever.  The train stopped at every village on the way!

Mich :)
