Handmade Monday

Well it has been a busy week work-wise (but I'm not thinking of work as I'll be back there tomorrow!).  I didn't even have time this week to do a mid-week post.  Never mind, some weeks will be like that.

On Saturday night I had a visitor over night - Jess, my daughter's dog.  Fortunately Mindy and Jess get on well though I'm sure Mindy has her own thoughts on Jess!  (Jess constantly eats Mindy's food!)  Walking them both together can be difficult as I definitely feel that my left arm is slightly longer after a walk due to the pulling!

I found a good blog that has some great crochet patterns.  I haven't ever tried to write out a crochet pattern but maybe I will try that.  I have crocheted something this week as a present to take down to my sister in law on Wednesday - unfortunately as they read this blog I can't post a picture!  Gift pictures will have to be another time!

I'm also involved in a Christmas decoration 'swap' on another blog - just in case someone who reads this is involved in it too, better not post pictures of that either!  Heck, what a picture-less blog this week!

I did take this picture though when I was out walking with Mindy one night this week.  I really liked the colours of the sky and the way they looked through this tree.

I have been making a new style of bracelet this week and I like the style and the fact that it can be for anyone (man, woman, child!) depending on the beads used.  It took a bit of concentration to work out how to make it but am getting quicker!

Anyway, pop over to 1st Unique Gifts to see what everyone else has been up to this week.

I will blog about my upcoming trip down to Cambridge when I get back. I am looking forward to finding some new bead and wool shops.

Have a great week!
Mich :)

  4. The bracelet is very pretty. I love the idea of a christmas decoration swap. One of the best parts of dressing the christmas tree is when you open the box of decorations and see the special ones that bring back memories or have a story behind them. x

  5. Love the photo! Beautiful color of the sky. Nice bracelet. I have not really tried that sort of beading. That looks really pretty. Hope you had fun with the dog. Mine is always here helping me. Well, that's what she calls it anyway. :)

  7. Some weeks are like that aren't they? - loads of work but no photos, and then you have a rest-week and just tinker finishing off everything=loads of photos to show.

  10. How brave writing your own crochet pattern - look forward to that one. A unisex bracelet is a great idea and yours looks lovely, love that blue. There are some very pretty sunsets at the moment aren't there, guess it must be due to the mild weather x

Enjoy your trip to Cambridge, it's a great shopping area. I think there is still a bead shop in the centre called The Beaderie.
