I notice from the date I've been a bit neglectful of this blog! I have been busy though corsage making.
Been working with a few new tartans - here is one - the Ancient McEwan - quite a nice looking tartan
Also been coming up with a different look for the corsages - another option for customers.
Just getting back to it all after the arm palaver. Not been back on my bike yet - they said to wait 12 weeks (in case I fall off it again!) however, it will soon be time!
Have a good day!

Very Nice Weekend
Had a great day on Saturday. We went to Edinburgh to see the musical Evita. Was very, very good.
Marti Pellow was in it and still looking good!
Afterwards discovered this amazing exhibition - 'Field of Light' by Bruce Munro -
Was a beautiful sight and well worth a visit if you are in Edinburgh before 27 April.

Good News Today
Turned out to be a good start to Friday. I got an email to say I'd passed my final anatomy exam and assessment essay that I needed to be able to start massaging - so that is both a relief and happy news!
I got a rush order in the week for a corsage to match black and white trousers. The customer wanted something with black and white in it. Luckily I had some of this Drummon Grey tartan -
I am looking forward to making these and hoping that the customer will send me a picture for my website of them being worn at the wedding.
Aside from the above not much else has been happening. I've been trying to catch up at work after my time off and am slowly getting there! Start physio on Monday for my shoulder - think that will be painful! Physios enjoy stretching you to the extreme!
Have a good weekend. I'm heading to Edinburgh tomorrow to see the musical Evita - should be good.

I hadn't ever bothered to make up anything in this tartan as I didn't really think anyone would want it, but having seen it made up, it would actually look nice on a coat or jacket. The customer was really happy with her corsage.
I have also had an order for 4 corsages for a wedding in the Thomson dress tartan - will post up a picture of these when done as I just managed to get the tartan yesterday, but this is what the tartan looks like.

Burns' Night Frenzie
Have been so busy with corsages and pins for Burns' Night. It has been great to find lots of people ordering my creations and getting good feedback. I also got my first order from overseas (Germany).
Most popular tartan has been the Pearl o' the Tay tartan - I think because of the lovely colours.
I have used a new tartan - the Buchanan tartan which can have 2 looks depending on which part of the tartan you use.
My shoulder is on the mend thankfully - now it is the hard part of stretching the tendons and muscles that have been held in an unnatural position for the last few weeks. (Not very nice I will say!) I am going back to work today and hopefully I wont be too sore by the end of the day.
I have passed my massage course and am now qualified in Swedish massage and looking forward to doing a little bit of that in the evenings for friends once my shoulder is totally back to normal.
Busy times ahead I think!
Have a great day.

12 January 2014
Hope everyone had a lovely New Year. I'm still battling with the one arm palaver but am at the hospital tomorrow so hoping they will say I can ditch the sling and start using my right arm again. Fingers crossed for a good x-ray.
I have been jazzing upp my sling a bit - wrapped a scarf around it and got this lovely silk handkerchief from a friend at Christmas so made a little flower to pin on the sling - I think it will look nice on my jacket after the sling has gone. (Took ages to do with one hand I will say!)
Went out to a farm shop for breakfast and spotted this - love the colours of it.
Corsages have been really busy - this week I've had 5 orders. I am thinking it must be because of Burn's night coming up on 25 January and maybe a few ceilidhs on the go. Fortunately I have had the corsages already made up.
Wishing you a happy Sunday!

Monday 30 December 2013
Well we are coming to the end of the year. My most memorable thing will be this shoulder injury which has and is still a pain in the neck! (if you know what I mean!)
I am managing to get out and about thanks to a very helpful partner (I bet he will be as happy as me when I'm back to full fitness and he can take off his nurse's hat!)
On Saturday it was a lovely but cold day and we went for a walk to the Loch Leven area and I managed to take these 2 pictures (he had to hold the camera for me as I couldn't take the weight of it on my right hand).
The geese then took flight and I managed to snap this -
After our walk we headed to the sales! (can very easily get my purse out with my left hand lol!)
Have a great day.

Advent Calendar 24 December 2013
Well Christmas Eve - hope everyone has a lovely holiday season.
I have a hospital appointment this morning - hoping the dr says 'throw away that sling and get that arm working!' - we'll see!
have a great day - stay safe in these horrible weather conditions.
